I like these pics, they remind me of what I often do, which is stand in front of a mirror and try to think what I wanna look like and I think, if I think hard enough and visualise it, I will transform into that picture. It reminds me of that David Byrne lyric 'I've changed my hairstyle so many times, I don't know what I look like. Anyway thanks and interesting blog. Nick
Have you read Martin Green's Children of the Sun? Possibly out of print, it's worth a look if you're interested in dandy figures in the English landscape.
